Good bikes for shorties??
Just thought we could get a collection together of bikes that are good for the less tall of us.(im 5Foot 2 nearly lol)
The smallest bikes i have come accross so far without needing lowered are:
The VFR 400 ( both balls of feet on the ground)
ZXR 400
Rg250
I have also found a lowered GSF 500 a good height
and of course my lowered tzr125r
any others anyone would like to add

Re: Good bikes for shorties??
CBR400 - 735mm
Ninja 250 - 774.7mm
ER6 - 785mm
r1200gs can be lowered but is expensive - apparently 915mm but can be lowered by 5cm
zxr400 - 760mm
triumph street triple can be lowered too - 800mm before lowering not sure how much you can lower it by

Have you got any specs for seat heights? I think my Ninja is on the lower end but I could directly compare if you put how high each bike is (before lowering). Or is that too much work, lol.

i will get some more, think seat width and different years of bikes can matter too but it would give us a starting reference

Re: Good bikes for shorties??
I'm thinking about getting a dual sport bike for greenlaning, but they tend to have higher seats than sportsbikes so I am hoping I'll be alright with the extra height. I want to get a Yamaha Serow as its one of the lower ones out there (810mm). That's not too much higher than my Ninja and I don't suppose the seat is that wide. I need to go and sit on one to test it out, but there aren't many for sale to check it out.

Re: Good bikes for shorties??
It was the Ninja 250 that made me want to pass my test. Up until then I had thought that I'd stay on my CBT with no hurry to pass. Then I fell in love....
I hardly see any around my area. I spotted one yesterday at the supermarket but was driving off with no time to stop and was gutted to miss the oportunity to say hello to a fellow Ninja 250 rider.

Eye catching is a polite way of describing it, hee hee. Its rather loud in colour but the great thing is that its very visible and thats a very good thing when it comes to avoiding "sorry mate I didn't see you".
