Re: my new bike :D
Honestly guys - it feels like a little 2 stroke screamer.
It shoots off the start line like lightening. It's just so devastatingly quick.
I felt like an overgrown ape on it. It's not exceedingly uncomfortable, but it isn't exactly roomy enough to sprawl in. Incredibly sharp brakes; acceleration like I've never seen before (it beats my Factory which does 0-60mph in 2secs).
Unfortunately neither of you would fit on the miniscule pillion seat that is an optional extra. It literally is about 15cm x 5cm strip for a seat! Fat asses will have to get into a side car lol.

Re: my new bike :D
Wow, I want to experience 0-60 in less than 2 seconds, fastest I've experience it is 3.2
Morgan how tall are you?
I bet I'd look like an idiot on the new RSV4, would be a great weekend bike
Probably a bit to much for the road though.

3.2sec isn't bad
6ft. My waist line is no wider now than when I was your age. Something about being a vegetarian I guess. I just don't put weight on ...
Weekend bike....lol. If you could afford the RSV4, you'd want it to be an everyday bike! I just wonder how long it would last in a car park, before it's nicked! I'd need another few extra locks on top of the 9 I have.
It was grrrreat on the road. Just great. I wouldn't object to using it on the road. It's not quite as comfy as the Factory I'd say. But it has very petite dimensions. That just takes getting used to. I'd love to see what the second generation RSV4s are like. If they build it like the Factory, I'd be queuing up! As it is, the feel is a totally different direction between the Factory and the RSV4. If I had a Trust Fund and didn't need to work, then I'd settle for the RSV4 and do track days all year. As it is, I work all year and maybe get to do 1 track day a year. Sob.

Re: my new bike :D
It was in a Caterham R500, quite a quick little machiene fair play. The quickest I get to see 60 now is around 9 seconds
Your taller than me then, I'm like 5'9". The VFR is a little small for me, both feet flat on the floor and cramped riding but I quite like it.
You should invest in an RSV4 and a place in Wales where you could blast up the horse shoe pass every weekend Or one of those Desmosedici, now they are beautiful. I would have one of them just to look at and polish 24/7.
Maybe something for the future you could do, when you plan to retire No doubt there will be another insane bike out by then with twice the horsepower that rides itself.
Happy Birthday by the way, I just noticed you turned 35

Re: my new bike :D
Lol. I don't celebrate birthdays anymore. After 18, I stopped counting
In any case, I hated being in my early 20's: life was always a struggle; independence was always a hard battle, constrained by finances and high motorcycle insurance!
At 5ft 9", you're still going to find the RSV4 slightly small. That is, if you ever ride in GSXR600s'; Ducati ST2s; Honda VFRs, or Pan Europeans and other larger 1000cc bikes. Coming up from a 50cc, everything is going to feel bigger
Actually, the 675cc Speed Triple or Daytona from Triumph are quite decent sized. There are a lot of reasonably comfy bikes . The old style Aprilia Mille ('03) was a huge bike. I could just about touch the ground with both feet when the suspension was racked up.
Bottom line - try it out before settling for a bike. You can do a lot to tailor the suspension to get it optimal. Then decide

Re: my new bike :D
Noo ~ you should have stopped at 21 Thats means I have several months before I have to stop counting.
I bet it was all that uni, all the junk food and drinking wayyy to much
I doubt I'd be able to keep a stable speed on that RSV4 never mind find it small. I could see myself pulling off, leaving a huge line of rubber or flipping it.
I love the sound of the VFR800s theres one near me, really loud, bit to popular though. I love the rarity of the 400s. If I do sell mine, I'll be looking for another one before you know it.
I've never found any of my bikes uncomfortable really, I remember when I jumped on the CBR I got an ache in my left leg after a few miles, it went after around 100 miles, I was the same on the VFR, that went to. I doubt I'll say this in errr 20 or so years time
Trying out a bike before buying is quite difficult at our age, they won't trust us. We have to have held a licence at least 2 years before they let us test ride anything now.
