Re: Whats next?
Hmm for me, erm I'm not to sure. i would love an VTR SP1. But it will more than likely be a Daytona 675 or a Ninja 636 or a gixxer 600, you know just your average ones you see everyday haha, thats if I don't do what I actually want to do to the VFR

He's getting that Moto Guzzi.
Are you buying new Morgan? If so did you manage to wine your way out with some Akras for this bike?

Re: Whats next?
2K dry miles on it. Last one around in the UK. I've done some research, and it looks like it's not going to be imported to the UK ever again, so I really wanted to try one before it becomes too rare! The only new ones left in the UK are all silver. I wanted black black black! A 950cc bike that does everyday is going to be a different experience than the Aprilia! Well, if it keeps her happy on the pillion seat....
No Akrapovics - it has a double Moto Guzzi chrome exhaust. I'll see how feasible it is to try and core the exhausts but the chrome surface may limit that.
Will you numpty! I posted those photos up on that other thread and none of the images showed and I had to hyperlink to the images and vid instead.

Re: Whats next?
Ah you gotta get a black one, everyone else will have a silver one, but then you can only have what you can get hold of
Core the exhaust, is that like when you remove the insides out? I can't quite remember, we haved discussed it before.

Yikes. I have no idea where that thread is!
Lol - everything rambles off-course on these threads so it's hard to find anything relevant again if you happen to blink.
I'm sure you saw it but thought it was too old-fashioned and not sporty enough

Re: Whats next?
Who needs 2 sporty bikes when you have the Factory back home
I bet the step down in power will be bad though? Or when you get to power like that doesn't it bother you?
Its Wills fault all these threads go off topic you know, now you know why Dom banned him haha.
Joking Will

Re: Whats next?
Nice siggy Will! Thumbs up for better spam control!
Step down in power? Nooooo. 950cc vs 1000cc. It don't matter at that range. It's torque that matters to me -
both have plenty of that and plenty of power in that v-twin engine too. The Gootsy is more of a 2-up thing; my Factory isn't great for that. It's still the most focussed road bike I'd ever want. Hopefully on the long stints to Europe next year, I won't be refuelling every 100 miles like I am on the Factory. The Gootsy will give 200 miles
per tank on the motorway. That's the main reason why.
Also, its shaft driven, so I don't have a friggin' chain to wax and clean up all the time

Re: Whats next?
I swear, I am going to burn this bloody computer. Like most other things I have had to write this twice Rant over .
Haha Will.
How much fuel does your Factory hold? I have to refuel every 90 or so miles with about £8-9 on the VFR, that is the biggest let down really, but its probably due to the high revs of the restrictors.
Shaft dirven is cool, makes a change from a chain, at least its not belt driven like them Buells
Ahh, it should keep your OH happy, I see it as a good trade, you get a new bike then you take her touring on it next year How much is the insurance going to be for the MG?

Re: Whats next?
Are you on a PC Dan?
Sometimes its the forum software. If you accidentally navigate away from the page, the web browser won't save your screen and typed message when you move. Firefox is fast but unstable at the best of times
Factory holds 16 litres: 99-140 miles tank range depending on conditions. That's about £17 to fill the tank up now. Last year or so it was barely £10
I wouldn't mind trying a belted Buell! Shame about the lack of service support. I like the obscure and less common bikes like Aprilia or Gootsies. This one is lazy lazy lazy! I don't want 2 bikes to have to sort out the chains for!
Insurance is £64 fully comp - added onto my Factory. t's one of the few nice things about being a mature guy

So fucking annoying, how can they justify charging me like over £650-700, and sombody who could be no better a rider £60 bc there older
Like, i was doing a quote on a cbr a while back, it came back £668 i think, my mums b/f who hasnt got a licence or anything like that said see what it would be for me...
So i did it the same way as mine, as though he'd just passed his test and everything, £68... WTF? lol its bullshit man

Yeah, my Dads one at work, its a bit crap, okay well a lot. He's well over due a new one by now.
So you get abut 30mpg on your 1000cc, when you give it some.
I was talking to my instrictor when w did the training back in August about Buells. He said he'd ridden one but got lazy and put it in 3rd then rode all the way home in 3rd. I like the idea of constantly shifting gears Okay maybe not as bad as the 50cc or 125cc.
That is soo cheap! £64, that like well just cheap.
Craig, insurance is the same for me, as soon as you mention 'mod' they start having a wank and put the price up!
